Call to Order: – Meeting was called to order by Chairperson David Schmidt at 4:05 p.m.

Roll Call: – As listed above.

Approval of Minutes: – Tabled.

Financial Report: - Ms. Becky O’Connor gave an updated financial report with a total income to date of $27,965. 

Status 501 (c) (3) Designation: - Mr. David Schmidt reported he is still working on this item.

Moshi Committee: -

Update on Saba Saba – Mr. David Schmidt reported Dr. Charles Eschenburg will be available for July 7, 2004.  Mr. Schmidt requested the Board to postpone this event until July 2005 because there is less than thirty days to prepare for this event.  Mr. n’Detenga n’Gurumo and Ms. Clovis Moodie advised this was the consensus of the Tanzania Board to postpone this event until July 2005. 

Ms. Clovis Moodie reported to the Board that the Tanzania Committee would like to create a Teacher Exchange program with Moshi and Delray Beach.  The Tanzania Committee will work on and report back to the Sister Cities Board.

Miyazu Committee: -

Discussion of Gift for Miyazu 50^th Anniversary and Trip – Mr. David Schmidt and Mr. Jimmy Mihori reported they had a great time in Miyazu.  The trip was a success.  A proclamation was presented to Miyazu by Commission Pat Archer on their 50^th Anniversary. 

Special Committee Reports: -

President’s Report – Mr. David Schmidt is requesting volunteers for the O’Bon Festival which will be held on August 4, 2004 at Morikami Museum. 

Women in Visual Arts Exhibit – Ms. Nancy King reported the exhibit’s opening ceremony is tonight (06/04/04) at 5:30 p.m. at Old School Square. 

Membership Brochure – No update.

Non-Agenda Items – Mr. David Schmidt is asking the Board to consider not having a meeting in August and September (due to summer vacations).  It was the consensus of the Board not to have a meeting in August and September.  July 1, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. is the next scheduled Sister Cities Board meeting.
