A local Boy Scout Troop of Delray Beach prepare to send a self-designed computer, assembled from miscellaneous computer parts to the Library of Tanzania. It works and runs Windows 98 , loaded with Lotus® Works™ as a featured software.

This computer was agreed to be delivered by Three Female Kilimanjaro Mountain Climbers namely:

All three young ladies are presently living in Delray Beach at this time and will attempt to place a Delray Beach flag on top of Mt. Kilimanjaro. This majestic mountain stands as the tallest peak of AFRICA. It is always snow capped year-round and its summit measures over 19,537 ft. above sea level.

The ladies are to hand-deliver this computer to Moshi officials when they land at Tanzania Killimanjaro's International Airport. They expect to start their climb on February 23, 2002. They are to receive a very special send off on February 19th at 6 p.m. at Delray Beach’s City Commission meeting.

These young ladies will need our prayers and faith in them to successfully accomplish this mission.

Special Announcement:

Nine pictures arrived from Tanzanian students on 02/15/2002. They were given to the DSC Tanzanian chairman and then immediately delivered to Ms. Nancy King. These will be entered into the Art Show competition entitled, No Borders, No Fences…Just Friends!
