(NOTE: AT LEAST ONE DBSC REPRESENTATIVE &/OR OTHER LOCAL KEY PERSONS WILL ACCOMPANY OUR GUESTS IN THE TRANSPORTATION VEHICHLE TO AND FROM ALL ACTIVITIES AND AT ALL SCHEDULED ACTIVITIES AND TOURS. ARRANGEMENTS MADE BY BOB BARCINSKI FOR A VEHICLE WHICH HOLDS 20 PEOPLE & A CHAUFFEUR LICENCED DRIVER FOR TRANSPORTING MOSHI GUESTS. MR. & MRS. MIHORI WILL COORDINATE TRANSPORTATION AND INTERPRETING FOR OUR MIYAZU GUESTS.

Sunday, 4/21/02
Moshi guests plans to arrive at 11:49pm at Ft. Lauderdale airport. DBSC representative & any others who wish will meet guests at airport. DBSC representative will escort guests to Colony Hotel and remain with them through check-in. Each guest will be given the final revised itinerary schedule & DBSC tote bag.

-11:30am Stroll the avenue for glimpse of downtown Delray
-12:00noon Lunch Reception & Lunch at Beach Street Restaurant, East Atlantic Avenue in downtown Delray Beach. (Lunch is w/Mayor Schmidt & few other people. Consul Bergh is out of town until 4/24.)
-2:15pm FREE TIME, RELAX, REST, REFRESH
-4:30pm Tour* & History information about the Sundy House (This tour could be done on Sunday if not done today)
-5:30pm Welcome Dinner w/Mayor Schmidt, Commissioners & few other people at Delray Beach Golf Club Restaurant

Tuesday, 4/23

-8:45am Continental Breakfast at the Colony -9:45am Board the bus to go to Levenger*
-10:00am Tour of Levenger* & shopping there if they wish.
-11:30am Rotary Club regular meeting luncheon. (Moshi visitors are guest speakers.)
-1:00pm Visit City facilities: City Hall (see 10 minutes video of overview of City & take tour of City Hall), Water Treatment Plant, Police Department, Fire Department
-5:00pm Relax, Refresh
-6:00pm Board the bus to go to home of the Mensahs
-6:30pm Private Dinner hosted by Ngozi & Rhonda Mensah (others by invite only)

Wednesday, 4/24 (Moshi Guests)
-7:15am Board bus
-7:30am Kiwanis Club regular meeting breakfast. (Moshi visitors are guest speakers.)
-9:00am Tour Delray Beach Public Library
-10:30 Visit Chamber of Commerce
-11:15 Visit S. D. Spady House
-12:30 noon Lunch at & Tour of Carver Middle School
-2:15pm Tour Trinity Lutheran School (students from this private school sent letters to Moshi).
Tour & history of Delray’s oldest church building which is located at Trinity.
-4:00pm REST, RELAX, REFRESH
-6:00pm Private Dinner & evening at the home of Fred & Dale Briese. (others by invite only.)

Thursday, 4/25

-7:30am Board bus to Boston’s for Breakfast

-9:15am Drive tour of neighborhoods depicting housing & community redevelopment. Tour conducted and narrated by Lula Butler
11:15 Blood’s Groves Tour (Rosalie Blood will do tour. Lula Butler to remain with guests.)
12:00 Lunch at Oh My Soul restaurant. (Lula Butler to remain with guests thru lunch time.)
1:00pm Bus returns Lula Butler to City Hall & continues the guests to Bergh’s Boat at dock
1:30pm-View of Delray from cruise on Consul Bergh’s Boat. (others by invite only)

(MIYAZU Guests)
The Mayor of Miyazu and his staff person will arrive late morning today. An additional 8 people will arrive late morning of Saturday (4/27. Mr. Mihori will coordinate getting both groups from the airport to the Marriott Hotel. Guests will be given final revised itinerary & DBSC tote bag.)

-6:00pm Cook-Out prepared by Boy Scouts Troop 340 at Wright By The Sea at the gazebo on the beach. This evening would be our welcome reception for the Mayor of Miyazu and an introduction of the the Mayors of both of our sister cities to each other. Mayor Schmidt will be the host for the evening. (By invitation only.)

MOSHI & MIYAZU GUESTS ITINERARY IS SAME AS PROGRAM FOR DELEGATES TO THE CONFERENCE FOR FRIDAY AFTERNOON (4/26) AND ALL DAY & EVENING OF SATURDAY (4/27).

-1:00pm Registration desk opens for Florida Sister Cities State Conference(at Marriott Hotel)
-2:00pm History Tour of Delray Beach. Plans are for this tour to be conducted by the Delray Beach Historical Society, EPOCH and Florida Department of State Division of Historical Resources. This tour would done for the benefit of our guests from Moshi, Tanzania and Miyazu, Japan and would also be offered to the delegates who have arrived by now for the Sister Cities State conference.

-3:30 to 5:00pm Stroll, shop downtown Delray. RELAX, REFRESH
-5:00pm Conference Reception at Old School Square (This reception will be hosted by the DBSC Youth group and will feature the Young Artists Exhibit which includes art work of Moshi & Miyazu students.)
At this reception: 5:00- 7:30pm (entire evening) art exhibit open & food available
5:20pm - Tour of OSS & view statue gift from Miyazu to Delray Beach
6:15pm - Planting of tree in honor of new Sister City Moshi
6:25pm - Music* inside Ocean Breeze Room

8:50am (at Marriott Hotel) Opening Ceremonies with welcomes from Mayor of Delray Beach, and greetings from Mayors of Miyazu and Moshi, Consul Bergh will greet & speak about
how a consulate?s office can enchance sister cities friendships.
9:50am to 3:00pm (at Marriott Hotel) various conference agenda topics (see convention agenda)
4:30 to 5:30pm Tour of Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens
5:30 to 8:30pm (at Morikami) DBSC 25 years Celebration reception, stage entertainment, and official signing of honor of 25 years of friendship and renewal of committment by Mayors of Delray Beach and Miyazu. Signing of special pledge of committment to new friendship by Mayors of Delray Beach and Moshi.

SUNDAY, 4/28/02
8:30am or guests’ choice of time):Breakfast for Moshi at the Colony, for Miyazu at the Marriott
9:00 to 11:30am Florida Sister Cities State Conference meeting to elect officers, receive annual
reports and conduct association official business.

GUESTS’ CHOICE - For Moshi & Miyazu, the Sunday agenda for the State Conference may not be very meaningful, therefore, the following activities are available and a choice of these could be coordinated into their itinerary and could be done with guests choosing separate things instead of all together for the same things. Guests will be asked if they wish to make a choice for Sunday’s activities. Since our guests may be individually at different places with different people, DBSC will have no plans for lunch for today. Individual arrangements will need to be made by whomever is escorting them. All guests should return from where ever at least in time for the OFFICIAL DINNER ON SUNDAY EVENING.

-Church (choice of many different churches. Will include list of Delray churches in tote bag given to guests upon arrival.)
-Tour Sundy House (if not done on Monday 4/22)

-Mayor’s dinner/party for all guests. (at the Marriott Hotel). Since the Moshi delegation will leave Monday, this will be the official farewell dinner party to present gifts.





MONDAY, 4/29/02

-Breakfast at the Colony. Since Moshi will be leaving today, flight time at about 3:00pm from Ft. Lauderdale, no specific activities have been scheduled.
-If time allows, shopping in downtown Delray and/or separate to meet or visit business of their counterpart. The counterpart business will need to arrange whatever transportation is needed.
11:30am-Board the bus for the trip to the airport

10:30 -11:25am Visit City facilities--City Hall & Barbara Garito & Nancy King,

2:00- 3:45pm Visit Trinity Lutheran School & Church escorted by Tony Durante. Trinity has on its campus, the oldest church building in Delray Beach.
